Alex McCarthy

Before joining You Collective, Alex spent seven years at a leading arts and communications organisation, working across business development and account management. He built long-term partnerships with organisations of every size, from public sector bodies to global consultancies – always starting from the same place: genuine curiosity about what a client actually needs.

That consultative instinct comes from an earlier life in theatre, where Alex trained and worked as a writer and director for the stage. Theatre teaches you to really listen – to read a room, understand what’s not being said, and help people tell their truth in a way that lands. That experiences shapes how he shows up for every client conversation: with honesty, curiosity, and care.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Alex hiking, watching some theatre, hitting a tennis ball, or cheering on his favourite rugby teams.
